Billing System Developer (readvertisement)

Your primary focus will be maintenance and further development of our billing application including design and development of CRM, provisioning, and integration work in line with launch of new products and services.

As Billing System Developer, you will be a part of TELE Greenland's Billing team and refer to the head of TELE Greenland's Billing Department.

About the job
The job requires you to have a technical understanding of how the billing applications work and that you are also able to develop and design integration solutions, as well as maintenance of new and existing system solutions.

Your main tasks will be: 

• Optimization and maintenance of system processes from ”take on” to bill-runs
• Follow-up development initiatives in the form of change request, both internally and at supplier level
• Prepare specific requirements for vendor supplies 
• Support processes for testing and maintenance of new patch releases
• Trouble-shooting, including debugging and escalation
• Designing solutions for new and existing functionality
• Participate as a developer in billing related project
• Ad hoc analysis and reporting (SQL)
• Support and train other colleagues in SQL using

 

Further, we expect that you have a routine to express yourself simply and accurately in relation to documentation and processes, technical requirements and solution descriptions, and that you are able of convey your well researched knowledge from the phase of development into the phase of implementation and operation.

About you
You have experience within the telecommunications sector with a thorough understanding of how network elements affect operational systems and processes.

In addition, you also have a solid SQL background and we expect you to have 4-6 years experiences in SQL and you probably have a background as a programmer or software developer from telecommunications or similar industry.

The ideal candidate must be proactive and intuitive with a natural interest and drive to find potential problems and solutions in systems, and on that basis develop appropriate solutions to keep the billing application and enterprise functioning at a top level.
